I have noticed that when you are playing against the bots, there are a few "mistakes" they always make. Although it would be nice if the game were a little more challenging (or had levels of difficulty) you can take advantage of the bot programming, and usually beat them if you want.

For example, they will play like the ace is the high card of trump even though it isn't (will order up when holding only an ace/king and neither jack.) You can always force them to play their highest trump by leading one of the jacks because they play as if the king/queen/ace will take the hand.

The bots also seem to throw off higher cards first. If they don't have the suit that is led, they will play an ace or face card of another suit before they play a 9 or 10. This means that you can often take the hand at the end with a fairly low card.

Also, they will often trump their partners because they play more as individuals. This is frustrating if you have a bot as your partner, but you can often force them to play their high trumps early in the round by leading with a low trump, as all bots will play their highest card of the suit that is led.

Two human players should be able to defeat two bot players about 80% of the time by taking this into account. You can change your strategy while knowing that your opponents will always play in the same way.
