now since im able to hit the 1.8 million mark consistently i thought of putting up some tips on how to score good for all those who play this game regularly and dont score in the millions.
1) try to play the game that starts with the level that is in the shape of a square coz this level takes the most amount of reshuffling, moreover the higher the level u are on the more time bonus u get (time bonus is the time remaining after the completion of a level x LEVEL x some other factor largely unknown). therefore u would prefer the toughest level first and the easier levels later on.
2) try to segregate the tiles like the deck of cards. they come in 4 suits viz circles, bamboos, numbers and the four seasons. this way it is easier to remember them.
3) start removing tiles from the top of the grid even if removing them from the bottom seems easier coz u will have to reshuffle less or sometimes u dont even have to reshuffle.
4) the square grid is the only level u would need to reshuffle the othe two grids dont need any reshuffling if u remove tiles on the top first.
5) dont choose a particular tile and then search its pair, start the game by having a good look at most of the tiles and remove the pairs jsut as u see them, if u have to search a tile then u are playing slowly.
6) remember that u lose 500 pts for every time yu reshuffle and that the game automatically tells u to reshuffle when there are no more matches. but it is essential to reshuffle when u are searching for a pair for quite sometime but like i said before only the square grid requires reshuffling. if u have to reshuffle any other grid then uve made a mistake. but then try not to.
7) this game is all about speed, so shut of the music which will slow u down coz normally with the sounds on u wait for the sound to be heard before u click on the next tile. light travels faster than sound and u can definitely play faster then whhat u hear lol.
8)u get 9 mins per level but u need to have more than 6 to 6 and a half mins remaining after the completion of the level that means try to complete each level in abt 3 mins. it is quite possible if u practice regularly.
9) dont think u are going to get 1.8 million after reading this, practice makes u perfect. i started with scores like 1.2 million and worked my way up playing more than 500 games. im sure u can too but with time.

guess if i can think of anything else i shall add later. im not sure how many people this will help but even if it helps one person it will make me happy. mmmoreover there are others who do score more than me at times like moonshineuk & todtswife.

i forgot to add that in the web game u get 2 grabbles for every level u have played really fast. i have the feeling that u get it only when u play a paricular level faster than anyone else in the day, so its quite possible for me to get 2 grabbles for say level one and then get it again for level one in the next game if i play it faster.

make sure u get somewhere in between:
level one - 45000-55000
level two - 130,000-142,000
level three - 255,000-270,000
level four - 415,000-440,000
level five - 610,000-630,000
level six - 848,000-870,000
level seven - 1,100,000-1,199,000
level eight - 1,400,000-1,450,000
level nine - 1,780,000-1,850,000
this what my score shart looks like after every level.

So do you think there is any truth to the fact that you score more by taking out four of the same tiles in a row??

Thanks for the tips - about to try them right now!!

there is just half truth to this. lets look at it this way:when u remove 4 of the same in a row it just means that u have found them faster therefore more points.
the lesser the time difference between removing two pairs the more points u get when u remove the second tile.
eg:try removing a tile and see what ur score turns into. now remove another tile and see what ur score is. now remove the next tile after two minutes and see what ur score is. u can also try removinf the four of a kind formula that people have been writing about but just pace them with a two minute interval inbetween. see if u get more points. U DONT!

Thank you - I didn't see any difference "looking" for the 4 of a kind, although I do grab them when they are immediately apparent.

Hi, Changudada!

Thanks so much for the great tips!  I've been trying and trying to increase my score, but I can't seem to get beyond 1.75!

Can you answer this question for me...I always like to start with the hardest (square) board, as you recommend, but that requires that I end and restart over and over again until I happen to get that board first.  It's no big deal, except that it shows a HUGE number of games played, when really I'm only playing a small fraction of that number.  Is there any way to "reshuffle" boards at the beginning of the game (like with regular MQM)?

If you know the answer, I'd greatly appreciate it!  If not, I'll just go on looking like I play MQM Deluxe all day long, every day!

Thanks again for the great tips!  And all the tourneys!  I look forward to them at the end of a long day at work!

Thanks!
KimmieAtl

Yes you just need to hit the 'p' button and it pauses the game to unpause just click back on the screen.

actually thats exactly what i do, i keep ending and starting the game in tourneys. it doesnt matter in tourneys coz ultimately the high score and not the no. of games played is what counts.
in web games i like to retain a high average so i dont end games but simply click on the play online button again. it doesnt take very long for the game to appear coz its already loaded all ur doing is like refreshing although it could be a couple of seconds.
should let u know of any further developement.

Some great tips here. And starting with the "hardest board" first, is a plus. I exit game and reload if I wanna start with it. My score is usually the same no matter what board I start with.

No matter how many times I play, no matter how easily I get thru each board, I can't seem to get much more of a score than I have already have.
I blame this on PC Speed... I have played on different PC's some I dont do as well, because the graphics in the game slow me down. Girrr!

Good Luck to ALL
Ms Mary
