i never find more than 3 rectangles and my friend challenged me to a game! how can i find more rectangles?

As you can see the game is made up of 8 rows
& 8 columns plus 3 sets of coloured blocks
Now you need to make 4 rectangles or squares
from each of the columns so you clear the top 2 rows
then the 2 rows can be filled with new blocks

The game is not to try and clear all the blocks from the grid
but to keep working across the columns to get more blocks
to fall the bigger the rectangle or square you can make the
more points you get if you can use the bonus blocks the more
points you will get.

now as for playing the game its not just a case of finding the biggest
rectangle you can you must try and see the next 3 moves ahead
so you can complete all 8 columns to get the next two rows to fall
its not a simple game to play
some time you will not be able to work straight across all the 8 columns
and you will need to use 2 of the columns you have already used
taking 4 blocks from that column.
