does anyone buy the items on this game? i am always too afrid that it wont help me.

I LIKE TO BUT THE STRENGH JUICE AND DYNAMITE, BUT ONLY WHEN THEY ARE CHEAP, I READ IN ANOTHER POST SOMEWHERE NOT TO BUY ANYTHING OVER 100, BUT THE JUICE YOU'LL ALWAYS USE AND THE DYNAMITE USUALLY COMES IN HANDY.

The dinamite and strength are always good. The clover leaf does give you better items in the bags. Once you get over 5,000 the rope can be really good it allows you to lift the 1,000 gold rocks also the large rocks. I don't usually buy the gem cleaner at all. You don't need the oil as you can go as fast by holding down the right or left arrow keys and also clicking above the track where you want the miner to be.

  Thank you so much for the terrific hint about moving quickly in this game.  I had no idea that I could move the cart by using the arrow buttons and clicking.  What a difference!  Thanks for posting honest and clear answers! 

I do not if I should have posted it here or not.  I think the items sold should be things that you really do need then things that you don't that end up wasting your money points.  If you do get the diamond cleaner, you should get less then $300 since that is the bonus amount you get from each diamond.  The other things that I get that they will be under $100, but my thoughts on the other items.  Another tip that might not apply here which is if hit the side arrows within the first few seconds that it will retract.

I never buy diamond polish, its nearly always over $400. I buy items, mainly steel rope, dynamite and strength drink, but only if, I am over the target by a lot and if its a good price.

why are you scared to?

Here's my tips on what to buy.  I've found this really helps me get a high score (I rarely get lower than 90,000 per game)

-If strength is around 150 dollars always buy it.
-If the dynamite is under 100 always buy it.
-If the polish is under 300 generally buy it

-After about the 5/6th round from the start Always alway always buy either strength or steel rope as it's likely enough that the $1000 will be there. As you get to higher rounds this is essential as it won't be possible to get to the target without the power up (this is the biggest tip to score big)

-Remember in the round after Hansel's round, never buy any power ups besides the dynamite as they'll go to waste

-I've never bothered with time, oil or clover.
